Intel Xeon X3363
Runs in an LGA 775 board only with the adapter sticker, the socket tabs removed and BIOS support for its core. How the mod works.
Intel Xeon X3363: 4-core, 2.83 GHz, Yorkfield, LGA 771, 1333 MT/s FSB, 12 MB (2 x 6 MB) L2, 80 W TDP.
Top of the three LGA 771 Yorkfield-CL chips in this database, beside the X3323 and X3353. Like them it is a uniprocessor part with product code 80584, OEM only, rated 80 W, below its LGA 775 namesake, the X3360. Clock and cache are the same as that chip: 2.83 GHz and 12 MB of L2. ARK's archived page shows no Tcase, VID range, socket or launch date. The table leaves Tcase and VID empty instead of borrowing them from the X3360, and takes socket and launch from Wikipedia, with CPU-World also listing socket 771 for both sSpecs. SLASC (C1) and SLBC3 (E0) are in no Intel spec update, so CPUIDs 10677 and 1067A come from the stepping.

A BIOS needs a microcode update matching the CPUID (and, for Xeons, the LGA 771 platform ID). See LGA 771 Xeon microcode and how to read your stepping.
Mod notes
Closest LGA 775 desktop chip: Core 2 Quad Q9500 (2.83 GHz, 1333 MT/s, 6 MB (2 x 3 MB)). A board that lists it is the best sign it can run the Xeon X3363.
Apply the adapter sticker, remove the two socket key tabs and add microcode for CPUID 10677 or 1067A with the LGA 771 platform ID, on a board that already supports 45 nm Core 2 quads. Unplug the machine and ground yourself before the blade goes near the socket, where one slip can bend pins and the cut itself is for keeps.
Check a specific board with the LGA 771 to 775 compatibility checker.
